The NCCEP/GEAR UP Annual Conference is the national convening of professionals, parents, students, policymakers, and community partners who support GEAR UP programs and the students they serve.

The College Advising Learning Lab is a short-term, cohort-based professional development program where participants learn how to help students select the college that fits their needs. Hosted in partnership with Bottom Line.

NCCEP committees include a diverse group of volunteer members that help engage the community, share their expertise for professional development, and offer input to NCCEP on programs and services.
Most committees meet monthly via Zoom. Committee members contribute 1 – 2 hours per month over a 2-year term, from October 1 to September 30.
The Coordinator Learning Lab is a short-term, cohort-based professional development program for those relatively new to GEAR UP. It offers a place for coordinators to come together and explore common challenges facing GEAR UP professionals.

Celebrate 25 years of GEAR UP! National GEAR UP Week is an opportunity to raise awareness in your community about the positive impact GEAR UP is having locally.
Come ready to participate! Discussion Labs are an opportunity to share, learn, and problem-solve together.
During this Discussion Lab, we’ll reflect on our GEAR UP efforts, projects, and goals from this past year. We will celebrate and share our successes, identify what might not be working, and create a plan to move forward for next year.
Come ready to share your lessons learned, and to learn from others. Leave with activities that you can use for your own development, to use with your GEAR UP team and colleagues, or to even use with your students.

Specifically for GEAR UP programs, this 75-minute training will show you the power of analyzing aid offers and give you the tools, knowledge, and language to support students with this critical step in the financial aid process. uAspire will begin by reviewing key aid offer terminology, examples, and practices. Then, they will introduce their College Cost Calculator and walk through a case study to show how to use this tool and explain the results to students.

These meetings are free of any presentations and are intended to create a space for an open peer-to-peer discussion. Transportation is a common challenge for rural GEAR UP programs: a lack of public transportation can make local events inaccessible to students and families outside of school hours and long travel times to college campuses and other programming may limit external opportunities.

It's a time to engage all your stakeholders - local, state and federal elected officials; funders; partners; and media - to share your program's accomplishments and to get them more involved with your services to students and families. Let's commemorate your hard work and the progress our students are making towards achieving their life-long dream of going to college!
The Coordinator Learning Lab (CLL) is a short-term, cohort-based professional development program where participants explore common challenges facing new GEAR UP practitioners who lead programs at school sites.
Coordinators who have been in the role for 0–3 years will especially benefit from this introductory experience.
