We are recruiting the next class of volunteers for our Communications Advisory Committee. We’re looking for a diverse group of GEAR UP professionals to help support our national communications efforts.
The committee will meet once a month via Zoom. We’re looking for experienced GEAR UP professionals with a broad array of roles, such as directors, coordinators, communications experts, and other leadership staff. Specifically, some of the traits we’re looking for in members include:
A willingness to contribute 1-2 hours a month in support of the committee, taking on individual and collaborative work through December 2024;
Extensive experience with GEAR UP and with various online communications tools;
Sound understanding of communications techniques;
An understanding of the importance of research and evaluation in the context of communications; and
An ability to function well as part of a diverse team taking on challenging work.
Please nominate a colleague or yourself to join this collaborative effort by November 21, 2022. A committee of NCCEP team members will review the nominations and send formal invitations to potential committee members in December 2022.
