Thomas Cech
Senior Data Scientist
Thomas Cech serves as the Senior Data Scientist at the National Council for Community and Education Partnerships. In that role he collaborates on research and evaluation projects that span college access and success initiatives. His portfolio includes U.S. Department of Education grants including Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP), First in the World (FITW), and Education Innovation and Research (EIR).
Previously he worked as a data analyst at the Appalachian State University Center for Analytics Research and Education. He brings experience in data mining, predictive analytics, and business management. He is a published author and has presented his work at national conferences. Previously he studied biology and economics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and then received his Master’s in Business Administration from Appalachian State University. He is currently an Education Policy doctoral candidate at the George Washington University working on his dissertation.
