Together Again
After over two years of meeting virtually, the GEAR UP community will be meeting in-person in Washington, DC. Raise the roof if you are as ready as we are!
We look forward to this gathering of GEAR UP practitioners and partners, when we will come together to learn, grow, and thrive as a community (did I mention, in-person?!).
To help you prepare, we’ll be offering a ton of information via social media – @edpartnerships on Twitter and Instagram – and our website. From which of the 120 sessions to attend, to getting ready for the Roll Call of the GEAR UP States, we hope you find the information useful.
As excited as we are, we also acknowledge that meeting in-person after two years of a global pandemic might be strange and new for many of us. So, we want to share some information about how to prepare for this gathering:
Register online.
The registration process will feel familiar with a couple extra steps. For example, we’ll have breakfast and lunch together, so we need to know about any food allergies or dietary restrictions.Book your hotel early.
Hotel rooms are filling up fast, so make your travel plans soon!Keep the community safe and healthy.
To keep everyone safe and healthy at this large gathering, we’re requiring that you upload your vaccination status or a negative COVID test (can be antigen or PCR) to our health app 72-hours prior to checking in at the event. We’ll share more about this process next month. We also encourage mask-wearing and will have other options to help keep those around us healthy.
Most importantly, get excited! This will be an energizing, action-packed two and a half days of learning, community, and growth (in 3D!).
